GENERAL

Do you travel for photoshoots?

Yes, I do travel for photoshoots! While I have a lovely home studio in my conservatory, which uses beautiful natural light, I completely understand the challenges of adjusting with a newborn. If preferred, I can travel to your home and set up near a window to make the most of natural light. Additionally, I offer location shoots for Family and Maternity sessions, providing stunning outdoor backdrops to create timeless memories.

Do you charge travel fees for home or location photoshoots?

I’m happy to travel to any location within a 10-mile radius of my home studio in Wombourne at no extra cost, as it’s included in your session fee. For locations beyond this, an additional travel fee will apply.

How long does it take to get our photos?

I aim to complete your gallery within 3 weeks of your photoshoot. If your session is for a special occasion, such as a birthday or a gift, please keep this timeframe in mind when scheduling your photography session.

How can I access my gallery once it's ready?

Once your gallery is ready, you’ll receive an email invitation to view it on an online platform. The photos will be watermarked to protect copyright. You’ll be able to view and share your gallery via a link. From there, you can select your favorite photos (based on the number agreed in your session package). Once you're happy with your selections, I’ll remove the watermarks and provide a link with a download pin, where you’ll receive your digital copies.

Is it possible to buy extra photos if I want more than what's included in my package?

Yes, you can purchase additional images beyond your package. Digital images are priced at £8.50 each, or you have the option to purchase the full gallery for £120.00 With approximately 35 images in a standard gallery, you'll have plenty of beautiful moments to choose from.

Mini shoot packages will have approximately 20 images in the gallery, and you have the option to purchase the full gallery for £80.00.

What does it cost to book?

To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of £50 is required, which will be deducted from the final balance of your session. Please note that the deposit must be paid within 48 hours of our initial contact; otherwise, the slot will be released to other prospective clients. Should you need to reschedule, this deposit can be transferred to an alternative date. However, if a further rescheduling is necessary, a new deposit fee will be required. Rest assured, in the unlikely event that I need to cancel the session, a full refund will be provided.

When is my final balance due?

The remaining balance must be paid by bank transfer, no later than 24 hours before your session. Payment details will be provided in your welcome pack upon booking. A reminder email with payment instructions will be sent a few days prior to your session. For full details regarding booking procedures, payment policies, and related terms, please refer to our Terms of Service. These guidelines ensure transparency and help us deliver a consistent and reliable experience for all clients.

NEWBORN

When is the best time to book?

To ensure I have ample space in my calendar and can offer you the best possible experience, it's advisable to book your newborn photography session during your second trimester. By scheduling early, you'll have one less thing to worry about as you approach your due date, knowing that the magic of your newborn's arrival will be beautifully documented.

When will my session take place?

The optimal time for a newborn session is when your baby is 7-21 days old, as it's the perfect window to capture them in their sleepy, serene state.

How do I pre-book when I don’t know when my baby is going to be born?

I will reserve your spot using your due date as a placeholder, understanding that childbirth and the initial postpartum period can be unpredictable for both mother and baby. This due date serves as a tentative marker until you and your newborn have safely returned home from the hospital, helping minimize the need for rescheduling. I kindly request that pre-booked parents get back in touch once they have been discharged. At that point, I will provide you with a selection of available dates and times within the ideal newborn photography window of 7-21 days.

My baby has already been born, can I still book a session?

The ideal time for booking is during your second trimester as I limit the number of newborn sessions each month to ensure we can accommodate them within the ideal timeframe for newborn photography. Occasionally, I may have last-minute openings due to cancellations or if a baby arrives early or late, so it’s always worth enquiring if your baby is already here.

Can Parents and Siblings be in the photographs?

Of Course! I will always schedule time for family photographs. This will take place at the end of the session once all the solo newborn photographs have been taken. There will be a selection of family group photos and separate shots of Mum, Dad and Siblings with your little one. Please note these additional photographs are not mandatory. If you would just prefer to focus the studio time on your newborn then I am happy to accommodate.

What do I need bring?

Upon booking, you will receive a comprehensive prep-guide containing all the information on what to bring, what to anticipate, and the location of the studio.

CAKE SMASH

When is the best time to book?

To ensure your little one's Cake Smash photos are perfectly timed for their special day, I recommend planning ahead. If you're considering my First Year Package, the Cake Smash session will be conveniently scheduled during your baby's newborn shoot. However, if you're booking the Cake Smash separately, it's best to schedule it at least one month before their big day. This allows me enough time to edit the images and deliver your gallery within my three-week turnaround period. By booking a session for the month prior, we can ensure your cherished photos are ready to celebrate your little one's milestone in style. Let’s make it unforgettable!

Do I need to provide my own cake?

Yes, you will need to provide your own cake for the Cake Smash session to account for any allergies or dietary preferences. I recommend keeping the cake simple, with neutral or plain buttercream, or tailoring it to complement your chosen colour scheme. This ensures the cake fits perfectly with the aesthetic of your little one's milestone celebration while accommodating their unique needs. If you'd like, I can help guide you with ideas to make sure it all comes together beautifully!

Can I choose my own colour scheme?

Absolutely! When planning your Cake Smash session, selecting a colour scheme can help create a beautifully cohesive look. I keep the setup simple with a classic white backdrop, ensuring the focus remains on your little one. To add a fun pop of colour, I design a custom balloon arch in your chosen theme, bringing vibrancy and personality to the session. A cake stand and other carefully selected props are also available to enhance the setup. We'll go over all the details during your pre-smash consultation, ensuring everything aligns with your vision for a joyful, beautifully styled celebration!

Can I have family and/or sibling photos taken?

Cake Smash Sessions are designed specifically to focus on your baby. Given the time and effort required to capture the best possible images for their special day, we are unable to include separately styled family and/or sibling photos during these sessions. The only exception is when photographing twins and multiples. Of course, they can be photographed within the same sitting.

What do I need to bring?

Upon booking, you will receive a comprehensive prep-guide containing all the information on what to bring, what to anticipate, and the location of the studio.

PREGNANCY

When is the best time to book a maternity photoshoot?

The ideal time for your maternity session is between 29 to 35 weeks of pregnancy. This ensures a beautifully rounded bump while keeping you comfortable throughout the session.

What should I wear for my maternity session?

I recommend flowy dresses, elegant gowns, or outfits that highlight your bump naturally. Soft neutrals, pastel tones, and earthy hues photograph beautifully against both studio and outdoor backdrops. We’ll discuss styling ideas during your consultation to ensure your vision comes to life.

Can my partner or children be part of the shoot?

Absolutely! Including loved ones in your maternity session adds warmth and connection to your images. Whether it’s your partner, older children, or even a beloved pet, we’ll create moments that beautifully celebrate this special chapter in your journey.

Where does the photoshoot take place?

I offer sessions in a home studio setting for a timeless, intimate feel or at an outdoor location for dreamy, natural portraits. If you have a specific setting in mind, we can discuss options to bring your vision to life.

What if I feel nervous in front of the camera?

You’re not alone—many expecting mothers feel the same way! My approach is gentle and relaxed, guiding you through effortless poses that highlight your natural beauty. I aim to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience, ensuring you feel confident and radiant in front of the lens.
